Nigeria International and Former Nigeria Correctional Service player, Dauda Saje joins Asaria Volleyball Club of Libya on a short loan ahead of the Libyan League finals.
The official signing of the former Madina Club Benghazi of Libya player took place at Asaria Club house on Saturday.
In an exclusive interview with www.aclsports.com, Saje said he wants to guide Asaria to win the 2021/22 Libyan League.
He revealed that Libya is a familiar terrain and will put more effort in ensuring he surpasses his previous records.
He said, “I want to do all I can to help my club win the 2021/22 Libyan League and return them to the summit of the league and also play at this year’s African Club Championship.
“My team has qualified for the Top six and the first hurdle before us is to make it to the Top four if we really want to be crowned champions.
“I am not seeking personal glory. I want to help my club win the league and if the opportunity of adding the highest points presents itself, I will also grab it with both hands.
“It’s only natural for me to feel elated that my deal in Libya scaled through and I believe this is God’s time for me to prove my worth again in Libya”, Saje told www.aclsports.com
He commended the Engineer Musa Nimrod led Nigeria Volleyball Federation board for reviving volleyball and giving every player the platform to showcase themselves.
The former Nigeria Correctional Service player said, “Nigeria volleyball players are getting the opportunity to play again in North Africa, Europe and other parts of the world. All thanks to the President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod for his vision of repositioning volleyball in the country.
“The Nigeria Volleyball Premier League has been running for four consecutive years, the National Division 1 League has been consistent for three years, various grassroots competition and Nigeria have attended over 10 International Championships. These have helped improved the quality of play among Nigeria volleyball player.”
