Holland Skipper Virgil van Dijk is focused on the European Nations League tournament and the semi-final match Vs England after the winning the Champions League with Liverpool last weekend www.aclsports.com reports from Guimaraes, Portugal

“I am completely in the Nations League mode. It is not difficult to be honest (to switch off from the highs of Champions League win) and we have trained very well for this great game we have coming up” Van Dijk was speaking at a packed Press Conference at the Guimaraes Stadium.

Asked if he felt pretty strong physically going into this tournament the central defender says “Well, I feel fine now. Obviously, I think if you were to ask anyone who is going to play tomorrow, if both teams are fully fit, they would say [that they are not at] 100 percent because everyone has a full season behind them”

These two teams met in Manager Ronald Koeman’s first game in charge of Holland with the Three Lions winning one-nil. van Dijk is aware of the progress Gareth Southgate’s team has made from that time “Well, they’ve obviously taken good steps and grew as a team but so did we. We’ve taken big steps from that game until now. They have fantastic players all over the pitch. They have pace in behind and pace up front”.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal await the winner following the hosts 3-1 win over Switzerland in Porto. The Juventus forward plundering a fine hat trick to light up the Estadio do Dragao.
