UEL: Olayinka Peter, Praha get another Super Eagles duo

European football governing body, UEFA has not had enough of the Nigerian wars after Olayinka Peter and Slavia Praha were drawn against another Super Eagles duo in the Europa League UELdraw.

Peter and his Czech Republic club have been drawn against Scottish champions, Rangers football club, who have Leon Balogun and Joe Aribo on their payroll, in the Europa League round of 16.

This latest development follows Praha’s 2-0 aggregate victory over another Super Eagles duo, Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, and their English club, Leicester City in the round of 32.

Peter, 25, played a pivotal role in both legs and in the second leg on Thursday, assisted the second goal as Praha sealed a famous win and place in Friday’s draw. 

All but Iheanacho featured in that game at the King Power, but it seems Peter and his club will have to do it all over again, this time against defender, Balogun, Aribo, and an in form Rangers side who dispatched Belgian side, Royal Antwerp 9-5 on aggregate. 

Meanwhile, elsewhere where, Samuel Chukwueze and Villarreal are off to Ukraine to face Dynamo Kyiv, while Manchester United battle AC Milan in what is clearly the tie of the round. 

The first leg matches will be played on March 11, with the second leg scheduled for week later on March 18.
