Turkish Division One side Ankara Keçiorengucü have completed the signing of Nigerian star Ibrahim Olawoyin for the 2021/2022 season, www.aclsports.com reports.
Olawoyin, 23, until this summer played for Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Rangers International for two seasons and established himself as a fans favourite during his time in Enugu.
Nicknamed “Nigerian Hazard” for his mesmerizing skills, Olawoyin rounded off the last NPFL season with a brilliant goal, which turned out to be Rangers’ last goal of the season in their 2-0 win over Plateau United on August 5.
The players has undergone and passed his medical examination and put pen to paper for a potential three-year deal.
Keçiorengucü will be hoping that the addition of Olawoyin to their squad will help them achieve promotion to the Turkish Super Lig by the end of the season after they narrowly missed out on a playoff place last season.
Olawoyin who has picked the Number 77 jersey will join another Nigerian, Emeka Friday Eze to don the colours of Keçi in the new season. Eze scored six goals in fifteen appearances for the club last term.
Olawoyin has one cap for Nigeria’s senior national team and was in the squad that faced Mexico in an international friendly in Los Angeles, last month.
Keçiorengucu are without a win in their first two league games this term and will host Adanaspor in their Week 3 encounter on Saturday.
