In-form Nigerian star Ibrahim Olawoyin is set for a massive showdown in the Turkish Cup after his side Ankara Keçiorengucu was drawn to face powerhouse Galatasaray in the round of 32, www.aclsports.com reports.

Olawoyin was rested as Keçiorengucu thrashed third division side Bulvarspor 4-2 on Wednesday to book a spot in the third round of the Turkish Cup where teams in continental competitions will join the rest.

In the draws conducted in Ankara on Friday, Keçiorengucu who are having a great run in the Turkish Division One league this season were drawn against former Cup champions Galatasaray.

The game which will also be in the knockout format will be played at Galatasaray’s Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex NEF Stadium in Istanbul on December 21, 2022.

While Galatasaray will proceed on the World Cup break after Saturday’s Super Lig clash with Istanbul Basaksehir, Keçiorengucu will continue their campaign in the second division all through the World Cup period.

Olawoyin has contributed six assists and two goals to Keçiorengucu’s run in the Turkish Division One which currently sees the club placed third on the table, six points adrift of Eyupspor in first but with a game in hand.

In other fixtures with Nigerian flavour; Michael Ologo’s Istanbulspor will face Fenerbahçe while Sikiru Olatunbosun’s Tuzlaspor will be guests to Ankaraguçu. Emeka Friday Eze’s Eyupspor will face Alanyaspor while Ahmed Musa’s Sivasspor will host Erokspor.
