Nigerian defender, Zaidu Sanusi has promised to give his all to Portuguese champions, FC Porto, after joining the club, ACLSports reports.

Sanusi said this following his big move to the Primera Liga giants and after was unveiled as the club’s latest signing late Monday.

The 23-year-old left-back has since put pen to paper on a five-year deal that will see him represent Porto until the summer of 2025, according to a statement from the club.

“Zaidu is a reinforcement of FC Porto and signed a contract valid for five seasons, until 2025,” the statement read.

Speaking after he was presented as a new Porto player, Sanusi expressed his happiness and promised to give ‘everything’ to the club and Portistas (fans).

“I’m really happy to be a FC Porto player, ” Sanusi said to the club.  “I don’t even know how to explain it, but I’m very, very happy to be wearing this shirt. ”

“The club and the fans can expect everything from me.  I received many messages from FC Porto fans and that made me very happy. I hope to do a good job and help the team.  This season we will win everything.”

Sanusi has been in Portugal since 2016 when he arrived at modest outfit, Gil Vincente, before he spent the next two years at little known Mirandela.

He spent the 2019/2020 campaign at Santa Clara, after some eye-catching displays at Mirandela, making 27 appearances with just a goal to his name.

Sanusi becomes Porto’s third signing of the season after Cláudio Ramos and Carraça.
