Tottenham complete Sanchez transfer

Premier League outfit, Tottenham Hotspur have completed  the transfer of Colombian youngster, Davinson Sanchez from Dutch side, Ajax Amsterdam, the club has announced.

“We are delighted to announce that Davinson Sanchez has completed his move to the club subject to receipt of his work permit later this week,” the club said in a statement on it official website.

The 21-year-old, has signed a six-year contract with the club, worth £38.4million, as per Sky Sports, after completing his medical and paperwork on Wednesday and will wear the number six shirt at the club.

Sanchez joined Ajax in the summer of 2016 from Colombian side, Atletico Nacional, and went on to feature in 47 matches, scoring 7 goals for the club.

“I would like to thank the coach, management, players and fans of Ajax,” Sanchez said.  “It is a great move for me to come here to develop my career.

“I am very excited to be signing for such a famous club as Tottenham Hotspur.  I am looking forward to working with Mauricio Pochettino and the players and meeting everyone there.”

He was part of the Ajax side that lost 2-0 to Manchester United at the Europa League final in May.
