Super Falcons forward, Chiwendu Ihezuo was on target for Henan Huishang as the Chinese side lost 2-1 to Beijing Phoenix on Friday evening.

Ihezuo who recently completed her move to China scored her second goal in as many games after reigning African Female Footballer of the Year, Thembi Kgatlana scored her third goal of the season since her move from Houston Dash to put her side ahead in the encounter.

Still in China, Francisca Ordega’s Shanghai were held by Changchun to a 0-0 draw.

In Sweden, Faith Micheal featured from the start for Pitea who nicked a 1-0 victory over Djurgardens. While in a twist of fortunes Alimatu Ayinde who played all 90mins saw Eskilstuna lose by a lone goal to Rosengard as Super Falcons midfielder Okobi only saw 20 minutes of action in the encounter.

It was however a big win for Rita Chikwelu’s Kristianstads who pummelled Limhamn 5-1 to maintain their impressive form in 2019 having also reached the final of the Swedish Cup.
