Super Falcons duo Tochukwu Oluehi and Evelyn Nwabuoku are gearing up for their long awaited trip to Spain ahead of their Reto Iberdrola campaign with CD Pozoalbense.

The experienced duo last month sealed a transfer to the Spanish second division side from top Nigerian Women League side Rivers Angels but both players remained in the country due to the restriction on international travel ban occasioned by the Coronavirus pandemic.

Goalkeeper Oluehi and defensive player Nwabuoku have now been scheduled for a visa appointment at the Spanish embassy this week as disclosed to www.aclsports.com by Gladys Stephens of the Golden Knight International sports Limited.

Stephens who brokered the deal to take the multiple AWCON winners to Spain disclosed further that but for the Coronavirus pandemic, both players would have been in the European nation by now.

Pozoalbense manager Manuel Fernandez hinted last week that both players who have played for Nigeria’s Super Falcons for over a decade are expected to come in this week.

The team began pre-season training last Wednesday with seventeen players in attendance. Three of the five absentees were the foreign based players including the two Nigerians but Panaman star Karla Riley joined in last weekend.

The Reto Iberdrola (Spanish second division) has been tentatively scheduled to commence on October 18, 2020 provided the Covid-19 situation remains as controlled as at the moment.
