The men handball teams lit up match day 4 of the Prudent Energy Handball League as second place Safety Shooters passed up and excellent chance to go top of the table.

Safety Shooters quest to gun for the top of the Prudent Energy Handball League was dealt a hard blow as they stumbled 26-24 to sixth place Plateau Vipers in pulsating match while Bornu Spiders defeated bottom team Prison Key Boys 30-27.

COAS Shooters on the other hand have drawn their last three matches after they were held by home team, Lagos Seasiders 35-35 while Sokoto Rimas comfortably defeated Owena Kings 36-13 as table toppers drew their match 30-30 with Kada Stars.

The final game of the day saw Kano Pillars edging D. Defenders in a slim 28-27 win.

The most valuable player of the day, Joseph Gbanua of COAS Shooters was awarded with a plaque and =N=10,000 cash price.
