The Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) have fixed a new date for the first phase of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League.

In a letter sent by the HFN to premier league teams notifying them of the new date, the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League will take place between May 7-18 at the Abuja National Stadium.

The teams are expected to arrive on the 6th and depart on the 19th.
Premier League teams are expected to ensure that registration and transfer formalities are completed before the commencement of the first phase of the league.

The first phase of the elite league in the HFN calender had suffered an initial postponement due to preparation of the National Under-18 and 21 male teams for the IHF International Challenge Trophy in Kosovo and the All Africa Games which will involve the senior male/female National Handball teams representing the country in Bukina Faso from April 28-May 4, 2019.
