Lagos-based side G12 and Sunshine Stars U19 were among the winners of the 2026 President Federation Cup National Playoffs that were decided on Wednesday, www.aclsports.com reports.

G12, losing finalists in the Lagos State FA Cup last Sunday, edged Osun State champions Dokkal Khairu FC on penalties after it ended goalless at the MKO Abiola Arena in Abeokuta. It was the Lagiosians who kept their cool to win the shootout 3-2. Meanwhile, Sunshine U19, who are the champions of Ondo State, defeated Harmony FC of Ekiti 3-1 in Osogbo.

In the other results, Westgate FC of Benin defeated Amanda FC of Anambra 2-0 in Enugu, while a marathon penalty shootout was needed to determine the winner between Adamawa Academy (Adamawa) and El-Kanemi Warriors Jnr (Borno). It was Adamawa Academy that triumphed 8-7 after penalties.

In the Women category, NAF Queens, Mighty Jets Mata, Ikukuoma Queens, and Esthinghton FC all zoomed into the next round after comfortable wins over their opposition.

With the playoff stage now concluded, the competition is set to move into its next phase.
