Six-time African Player of the Year, Asisat Oshoala, scored as Al Hilal secured a 2–0 win over Eastern Flames in the Saudi Women’s Premier League on Thursday, www.aclsports.com reports.

Oshoala opened the scoring in the 43rd minute after Claudia Dabda’s long-range strike was parried by goalkeeper Keikei. The Nigerian forward reacted quickest, guiding home the rebound with a calm right-footed finish to give Al Hilal the lead at half-time.

Al Bandari Mobarak made it 2–0 in the 62nd minute, firing in a right-footed effort from the left side of the box after a well-weighted pass from Mohrah Mutlaq.

With the goal against the Flames, Oshoala has now scored six league goals in seven matches, along with two assists, continuing her strong start to life at Al Hilal.

The victory ends Al Hilal’s winless run, their first league triumph since 2 October after back-to-back defeats. They remain second on the table, three points behind leaders Al Nassr.
