Six-time African Player of the Year, Asisat Oshoala, scored as Al Hilal suffered their first league defeat of the season, losing 3–1 to Al Nassr in the Saudi Women’s Premier League on Thursday, www.aclsports.com reports.

Oshoala, returning from the international break with the Super Falcons, opened the scoring in the ninth minute at Al Awwal Park, finishing off a fine move from Jéssica Silva’s assist to give Al Hilal an early lead. She has now scored in all five league matches this season, with five goals and two assists.

However, the hosts drew level before halftime through Congolese midfielder Ruth Kipoyi, setting up a tense second half in Riyadh.

After the break, Tanzanian international Clara Luvanga turned the game around for Al Nassr, striking in the 60th and again in stoppage time to complete the comeback and hand Al Hilal their first league defeat of the campaign.

The result leaves Al Hilal second in the table, three points behind leaders Al Nassr. They will look to bounce back when they face Al Ula on Saturday, November 15.
