Super Eagles and Orlando Pirates centre-back Olisah Ndah has expressed his readiness ahead of the new season, following a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to injury, www.aclsports.com reports.
Ndah, who has been battling injuries in the past six months, did not travel with the Orlando Pirates squad for their two-week pre-season camping in Spain.
Following an extensive time out and rehabilitation from the injury that ruled him out for most of the previous campaign, Ndah says he is ready to go again for the Buccaneers.
“I’m ready to go,” Ndah told on eNCA.
I’ve been out for a long time, and I had to do a lot of rehab, and I think I am more accepted. It feels like I am playing for the first time again because it has been so long.
“Even being able to train with the guys has been wonderful for me, and I have missed a lot. I have missed the fans, I have missed the atmosphere in the Stadium. Going to the MTN8, we know how important it is for us. Every competition is important. But I think the main thing for us is that we’re taking it one day at a time.
“I don’t mind, we can win it as many times as possible, but we can never change the feeling. It is a good feeling because his s a big club. There is a lot that is expected from us, and this season we are coming for everything.”
Orlando Pirates are set to kick off their MTN8 title defence on August 2 with a quarter-final clash against Polokwane City. The encounter will take place at Orlando Stadium.
