2024/2025 NWFL Premiership winners Bayelsa Queens FC have confirmed the signing of dynamic forward Lucky Mary from fellow NWFL side Abia Angels FC.

The attacker, who scored 8 goals for Abia Angels last season, including two hat-tricks, joins the reigning league champions with a growing reputation for pace, flair, and an eye for goal. Her performances also earned her multiple Player of the Match awards, underlining her impact and consistency throughout the campaign. She will wear the iconic No. 13 jersey for the Prosperity Girls.

This move comes shortly after the club announced the signing of Nigeria youth international Janet Akekoromowei from Nasarawa Amazons, further signaling Bayelsa Queens’ intent to build a formidable squad ahead of the CAF Women’s Champions League and the new NWFL season.

“I’m grateful for this opportunity and ready to give my best for Bayelsa Queens,” Lucky Mary said following the completion of her move.
