NWFL Premiership champions, Bayelsa Queens FC, have officially completed the signing of forward Janet Akekoromowei from Nasarawa Amazons FC, www.aclsports.com reports.

Akekoromowei, who finished as the second-highest goal scorer in the 2024/25 NWFL season, is set to wear the iconic No. 9 jersey for the Prosperity Girls. Her arrival bolsters the team’s attacking options as they prepare for the WAFU-B qualifiers, CAF Women’s Champions League, and the upcoming NWFL Premiership campaign.

A Nigeria international, Janet has previously represented the country at both U-17 and U-20 levels, further highlighting her pedigree and experience on the big stage. Her addition underscores Bayelsa Queens’ ambition to assert their dominance both at home and on the continental front.

Renowned for her lethal finishing and attacking intelligence, Janet’s signing is widely viewed as a statement of intent from the Yenagoa-based club.
