Lobi Stars held champions Enyimba to a 1-1 draw in Aba on a day Dakkada FC, Kano Pillars and leaders Plateau United secured crucial away points in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Playing with five former Enyimba players in the starting lineup, Lobi Stars, led by former Enyimba coach Gbenga scored first in the 77th minute through a Samad Kadiri header before Victor Mbaoma headed his fifth goal of the league season to three minutes later to save the champions from a home loss.

In Okigwe, Kano Pillars continued their resurgence when they held hosts Heartland to a 1-1 draw.

Ugochukwu Leonard had given the Naze Millionaires the lead but striker Nyima Nwagua scored five minutes from time to make it four games unbeaten since the return of Rabiu Ali.

Former champions Rangers and leaders Plateau United cancelled each other out in a goalless contest at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium in Enugu while it was same scoreline in Katsina where newly promoted Dakkada FC continued their impressive run with a stalemate against Katsina United.

There were similar home wins for struggling sides Akwa United and Adamawa United.

Both won 2-1 against Rivers and Nasarawa United respectively. Samson Gbadebo scoring a 97th minute winner for Akwa against his former side.
