Sporting Lagos’ mercurial midfielder, Haruna Hadi, is upbeat on his side’s chances in the NPFL as the new campaign begins on Friday, www.aclsports.com reports.
The midfielder, who recently joined the Lagos-based club, is fully aware of the challenge that awaits his new side and is confident they can make a strong impression on their return to the elite division.

“Absolutely,” an excited Hadi said when asked about his side’s readiness for the new season while speaking to ACLSports.
”Technically, we are very good. We will be one of the best teams in the league technically. That will help us edge out other teams in the league. Meanwhile, we have been preparing and trying to get into our rhythm and play according to the coach’s instructions,” Hadi added.
Hadi, who was key for the Tech Boys in their success at the ValueJet preseason tournament earlier in the month, believes the side can do well in the new season.
”I am someone who likes challenges. So, this is a new team coming back into the NPFL. It is going to be a big challenge for us to maintain our league status and not get relegated. It is for me to fight for the team, play with my teammates, and ensure we stay up. I think we are going to do well, and we are ready for it,” the 25-year-old concluded.
Hadi and Sporting Lagos will begin their 2026/27 NPFL campaign against Doma United at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe on Sunday, August 30.
