Defender Evans Ogbonda has left Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Rangers International of Enugu to join CAF Champions League side Power Dynamos of Zambia, www.aclsports.com reports.
Ogbonda, who has been one of the excellent performers for the Flying Antelopes in the topflight this season, has now decided to move abroad to team up with the Zambian side.
In a statement released by Rangers International on Tuesday, the 2024 NPFL champions confirmed that they will retain 40% of any future transfer involving the 23-year-old Ogbonda.
”Rangers International Football Club of Enugu can confirm the completion of the permanent transfer of Evans Ogbonda to Power Dynamos Football Club of Zambia,” reads a statement from the club’s Facebook page.
”The transfer was concluded with Rangers International FC retaining 40% of any future transfer involving the player. This move marks an important milestone in Evans’ career, and we are proud to see him take the next step with one of Southern Africa’s most respected clubs.
”We thank Evans for his professionalism and contributions during his time at Rangers and wish him every success in this new chapter of his,” the statement concluded.
Ogbonda will now team up with former Shooting Stars defender Ayodeji Bamidele and the rest of his new side for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.
