NNL side Remo Stars have named Olumide Ajibolade as their new head coach ahead of the 2026/27 season, www.aclsports.com reports.
Ajibolade, who has been within the Remo Stars structure since 2019, becomes the permanent head coach of the 2025 NPFL champions after the post became vacant following the exit of Daniel Ogunmodede.
Sources within the club confirmed to ACLSports that the tactician has signed a long-term contract and has been tasked with the rebuilding process following last season’s NPFL relegation. We also understand that a new coaching crew is being put in place, as well as a new set of players who have already resumed with the Sky Blue Stars at their base in Ikenne, Ogun State.
Under Ajibolade’s leadership, Beyond Limits established itself as a dominant force in the TCC League, winning five titles in six seasons (2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24 and 2025/26). He also guided the club to back-to-back TCC Cup triumphs in the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons, lifted the TCC Super Cup in 2025, and won the Ogun State FA Cup in 2024 and 2026.
He also led Beyond Limits to promotion from the Nationwide League One (NLO) to the Nigeria National League (NNL) during the 2022/23 season before orchestrating another historic promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in the 2023/24 campaign, which they were later crowned Nigeria National League champions in Enugu.
On the international stage, his teams have proudly represented Nigeria, claiming the prestigious Viareggio Cup in Italy in 2024 before winning the Gothia Cup in Sweden in successive years, lifting the trophy in both 2025 and 2026.
