Nigerian players delivered standout performances for their clubs across Europe and beyond, with Flourish Sabastine scoring twice in Turkey, Toni Payne registering a goal and an assist in England, and Chiamaka Nnadozie returning to action with a clean sheet in the FA Cup, www.aclsports.com reports.

Flourish Sabastine was on target twice as Fenerbahçe demolished Fatih Vatan Spor 11–0 in the Turkcell Women’s Football League. The emphatic victory kept Fenerbahçe unbeaten at the summit with 49 points, extending their lead to 10 points. Chioma Olise’s Trabzonspor claimed a 4–1 win over Çekmeköy Bilgidoğa Spor to remain second, level on points with Oluwatosin Demehin’s Galatasaray, who recorded a 3–0 victory over Beylerbeyi SK and sit third on goal difference.

In England, Toni Payne enjoyed a productive outing as Everton swept aside West Bromwich Albion 5–0 in the fourth round of the Women’s FA Cup. The winger provided the assist for Yuka Momiki’s opener in the ninth minute, with the Japanese forward completing a first-half brace. Payne later got on the scoresheet herself in the 53rd minute, netting Everton’s fourth goal, while Ornella Vignola and Issy Hobson rounded off the scoring.

Chiamaka Nnadozie returned between the sticks for Brighton & Hove Albion and marked her comeback with a clean sheet in a 2–0 FA Cup win over Nottingham Forest. The Super Falcons goalkeeper, who had missed the club’s previous two matches, played a key role as Brighton progressed comfortably.

Over in France, Jennifer Echegini started for Paris Saint-Germain as they cruised to a 4–0 victory over Le Havre in Division 1 Féminine. Goals from Merveille Kanjinga, who scored twice, as well as strikes from Romee Leuchter and Paulina Dudek, sealed the win for PSG.

Meanwhile, Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade made her return to competitive action, coming off the bench for the first time since November following the injury she sustained against Bayern Munich during the group stage of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Shukurat Oladipo featured from the start for AS Roma in their 2–1 Serie A Femminile victory over Sassuolo. Manuela Giugliano opened the scoring before Lana Clelland equalised just before half-time, but Alice Corelli struck the decisive goal 11 minutes from time. Rinsola Babajide was an unused substitute.

Off the pitch, Nicole Payne has completed a move to Orlando Pride in the NWSL, signing a one-year deal from Portland Thorns. The Super Falcons defender, who previously featured for Paris Saint-Germain, is back in action after overcoming a season-long ACL injury.
