The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has sought for sponsorship for the 2020 Nigeria Volleyball Premier League and National Division one League.

The President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod stated this while speaking on the sidelines of the ongoing volleyball league at the Indoor sports hall, MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja.

Nimrod commended the League Management Company (LMC) for organizing the league to international best practices while calling on corporate organizations to partner with the NVBF to develop the league.

“Am satisfied with the performance of the league management committee, they have been doing their best at this level, we can never have 100 percent but with what they have shown we have satisfied with organization of the league” he said.

“We are looking corporate sponsors without conduction to discuss with LMC to see how they can repackage and development the volleyball league in Nigeria, but we should have a sponsor for the next edition”.

“We have only seen marketing companies who have come to be the sole markets but we cannot aspects that, the door is open to other marketing outfit”.

He went further to rate the performance of the national team for the year 2019.

According to him “I will rate the volleyball good but not very good because we are yet to get the sponsor, but our national teams have done very well, our female drop from first to third, and our male are eight in beach volleyball in Africa, currently our under 19 are currently ranked 14th in the world, and the female are 23 in the world rankings” he concluded.
