Nigeria and Super Eagles remain the same on the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World ranking, ACLSports can report. In the the first ranking for the year, Nigeria maintained her 31st position in the world and third in Africa behind two other African countries as released by FIFA on Thursday.

With no international matches yet for the Super Eagles, Nigeria kicks off the year as the 31st best in the world, while trailing Senegal and Tunisia on the continent.

Both countries are also static on the ranking, Senegal is ranked 20th in the world while Tunisia is 27th.

Elsewhere on the ranking, Belgium is still ranked number one, while France, Brazil, England and Uruguay complete the top five (5).

The Super Eagles are back in action next month when the host Sierra Leone in an AFCON qualifier.
