Nigeria Shooting Sport Federation reels out 2024 programme

The Nigeria Shooting Sport Federation (NSSF) has released a programme of activities it intends to undertake in the year 2024.

In a statement obtained by www.aclsports.com,  programmes comprise both local and international competitions intended to keep the athletes busy throughout the calendar year (2024) as they vie for honours and also seek qualification for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The activities will commence with the NSSF board meeting in Abuja by February. The Nigeria Shooting Sport Federation will attend the Olympic Qualifiers from 10th to 17th March in Argentina.

Nigeria plans to attend the 1st Paralympic Qualifiers in India next March and the 2nd Paralympic Qualifiers in Korea next April. Still in April, the leadership of the NSSF will be attending the ISSF Exco meeting in Italy from 5th to 8th April.

The Late Major Ojo National Championship comes up in Lagos next June while the Late Felix Ogba National Shooting Championship holds in Delta state next August. The young shooters will show their skills once more at the National Youth Games in Delta state by September. Judges in Nigeria stand a chance of upgrading themselves at the ISSF Judges Course in Australia next October.

Three tournaments come up in December and they include; the National Sports Festival in Ogun state, the National Para Games in Abuja and the 2024 African Championship in Egypt.

The last programme of the year will be the NSSF board members meeting in Abuja.
