Safety Shooters beat Niger United 24-21 to win their fourth consecutive game of the league while Niger United lost their fourth game.

The ex international revealed that winning the title for Safety Shooters this season remains his ultimate goal.

Akande said, “I had intentions of hanging my boots but my spirit and body are not ready to stay off handball. Despite not playing in the national team, I am fulfilled playing active handball at my club side; Safety Shooters. The club is trying to find my replacement because I will not be playing forever. Currently, I am not done playing handball at the club side.

“Last season, we narrowly missed the trophy and it was very painful. This season, Safety Shooters have beaten the stubborn teams like De Defenders, Kano Pillars, Lagos Seasiders and Niger United . I strongly believe with experience on our side, Safety Shooters will win the title”.

Safety Shooters will face COAS Shooters on Friday (6th November, 2020) by 7am.
