The ex international revealed that winning the title for Safety Shooters this season remains his ultimate goal.

Akande said, “I had intentions of hanging my boots but my spirit and body are not ready to stay off handball. Currently, I am not done playing handball at the club side.

“Last season, we narrowly missed the trophy and it was very painful. This season, Safety Shooters have beaten the stubborn teams like De Defenders, Kano Pillars, Lagos Seasiders and Niger United . I strongly believe with experience on our side, Safety Shooters will win the title”.
