MFM FC welcome Rangers International to the Agege Soccer Temple after an important 2-0 home win over Kwara United last week Wednesday and will now look to build on that victory. However, key to ensuring that will be curbing Rangers in form striker, Godwin Aguda.

MFM FC captain and man of the match in the victory against Kwara United, Austin Opara has revealed that it is possible to curtail Aguda who has been in top form on the continent for his side as MFM look to maintain their unbeaten run at the Agege Soccer Temple.

“It is a game we have to play very very well because Rangers are a good side,” he began. “It is not a match we can joke with and we have to be very strong on the ball. We will try our best and we hope that at the end of the game we can get the victory.”

With 5 goals in 6 appearances so far for Rangers on the continent, Godwin Aguda will be looking to help Rangers begin the season the best possible way. Asked if he can stop the in from striker from getting one past his defence, the MFM defender said: “Yes, but it is about team work.

“Talking to my players on how dangerous he is so as to know how to mark him out of the game in order to reduce the threat he poses. So I believe we can withstand him.”

Adding that taking their chances in front of goal will be key against the Enugu based team. “A lot of people have been complaining that we’re creating chances but not scoring lots of goals so I believe it will be important if we can take our chances.”

MFM FC welcome Rangers International to the Agege Soccer Temple on Wednesday afternoon in their third game of the season as Rangers look to take their impressive continental form into their league campaign which kicks off by 4pm against the Olukoya boys.
