On Tuesday reports got to us at ACLSports that MFM former football director, Mr Emmanuel Adeyemi resigned from his role at the club after two years in charge. Story here

However, top sources at the club have revealed that the ex-football director was allegedly involved in mismanagement of funds to the tune of about ₦80m.

According to reports from top sources at the club, Mr Emmanuel Adeyemi was asked by the Vice-Chairman of the club, Pastor Alewi to defend his role in the mismanagement of club funds through which he allegedly pocketed about ₦80m of the club’s funds in a meeting held on the 27th of August – a week before his said resignation.

Till date, our sources reveal that Mr Adeyemi has been unable to respond to this allegation and has instead opted to resign from his role as director of the club.

“Kano Pillars game alone we make more than ₦500,000. There are about 4 games like that (Kano Pillars, Enugu Rangers, Ifeanyi Ubah and Enyimba) where we make like double of the normal amount,” our source said. This amongst many other funds have been left unaccounted for.

In addition to this, other allegations have been levelled against Mr Adeyemi and as it stands, the club hierarchy has ordered an audit of the club’s account. It is however left to the club to decide their next move depending on the outcome of the audit.
