Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Football Club completed a dramatic comeback to defeat Niger Tornadoes 3-2 at the Agege Stadium to preserve their long standing unbeaten home record in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

After an impressive midweek win away to Remo Stars, the Olukoya Boys started the game in the worst possible manner going down to two early goals within the first 15mins.

Despite going two goals up, Tornadoes showed no sign of slowing down as they kept coming as the MFM defence especially with the shaky Isaac Jerry who started in goal for the Olukoya boys.

MFM however soon regained their composure, launching attack after attack but the visitors stood strong until the 45minute when Olawale Abisoye turned in a flick on from Jonathan Zikiye’s corner kick to half the deficit as the home team ended the half on a positive note.

As expected, the Olukoya boys come into he second half all guns blazing in search of the crucial equaliser with an unbeaten home record to protect. The away team however sat back and looked to hurt the Lagos based side on the counter and it almost yielded fruit on a number of occasions but for excellent defending by the MFM backline.

MFM however kept pushing forward and soon got rewarded from the unlikeliest of sources; striker Micheal Ohanu who has been wasteful in front of goal all season long. But when it mattered most against the Minna based team he received a pass in the box, turned his man and fired past the goalkeeper to level the score.

The Olukoya boys got increasingly confident and knew they could snatch a winner and what a way to complete the comeback from two goals down to win 3-2 deep into added time from a freekick situation.

WHAT A GAME!!!!
