Nigeria top ranked Taekwondo athlete, Bright Kolade says he is targeting a medal at the 2019 World Taekwondo President Cup in Morocco.

Kolade told the News www.aclsports.com in Agadir that he had begun preparations since the 2018 National Sports Festival (NSF).

“By God’s grace, I am working towards winning a medal, I hope all goes well, I believe in God for a good outing.

“I actually want to represent Nigeria, not to just go there, but to get the right medal and be able to do what I am supposed to do when I am healthy. Things people know I am capable of doing, I just hope everything goes well for me” the reigning national champion declared.

He said, “The Nigeria Open is gone, and lessons have been learned and so I am working towards a better World Taekwondo G-2 ranked tournament.

Kolade added, “I am looking forward to Tokyo 2020 and I believe everything will fall in place for me. I will stay focused to do on my own part, maybe I will take part in just one event.

Kolade is currently ranked number one in the men’s -74kgkg weight class.

The World Taekwondo G-2 ranked president cup in Agadir, Morocco is scheduled to hold from 4th to 8th April, 2019.
