“The striker has already passed the relevant medical examination at the Vithas Salud Rincon Medical Center Rosaleda,” the brief club statement read.

The former Ocean Boys star last featured for TEDA in July 2017 and saw a loan deal to Deportivo Alaves fall through on the final day of the summer transfer window.

I’m happy. I’m looking forward to it. I’m looking forward to playing here.

From the first day I got here and played a friendly game with the team. I like it here and I’m happy to be here,” Ideye said in a short video message to Malaga fans.

Ideye who has represented Nigeria at Under 20 and senior national team level, earning 27 caps for the Super Eagles will hope to boost his chances of a World Cup participation in Russia by the move to Spain.

He has had stints at Switzerland, France, Ukraine, England and Greece during his professional career.
