HFN invites 22 players for 2024 African Men’s Championships

The Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) have invited 22 players to camp ahead of the 2024 African Men’s Handball Championship in Egypt, www.aclsports.com gathered.

The 26th edition of the African Men’s Handball Championship, held from 17 to 27 January 2024 in Egypt. The Championship acts as a qualifier for the 2025 World Men’s Handball Championship, with the top five nations qualifying.

www.aclsports.com reports that a total of 17 players have resumed camp under the tutelage of coach Solomon Yola while five players are yet to arrive.

In camp are players of Adjidja HC of Benin which includes; Ibrahim Dikko, Hakeem Salami and Samson Sunday. The fast handball player in Nigeria, Mohammed Anas (Niger United) also made the list of invited players. TojeMarine player, Daniel Bello who was outstanding at the 2023 Ardova Handball Premier League got an invite to camp.

France based tactician, Rafiu Salami is expected to join the team before the end of the year as well as Wizkid, Faruk Yusuf (Granollers of Spain).

Hakeem Salami, Ibrahim Bala, Obinna Okwor, Abubakar Ahmed, Kasim Yezeed, Daniel Bello, Mohammed Anas, Oluwaseun Amusan, Andrew Ojo, Samson Sunday, Joseph Gbawuan, Kareem Ajibike, Christian Foloki, Suleiman Azeez, Michael Agbaji, Stephen Sesugh and Osamwonyi Olaye
