Nigeria’s Super Falcons midfielder Halimatu Ayinde has joined Swedish Damallsvenskan champions BK Häcken on a free transfer, www.aclsports.com reports.

The 30-year-old defensive midfielder moves to Häcken after a successful stint with FC Rosengård, helping the club secure three Damallsvenskan titles (2021, 2022, 2024) and the Svenska Cupen in 2021–22.

Ayinde’s club career also includes time with Delta Queens, American side Western New York Flash, FC Minsk in Belarus, and Swedish teams Asarums IF FK and Eskilstuna United DFF.

On the international stage, Ayinde is a three-time WAFCON winner, most recently lifting the 2024 edition of the tournament, which was postponed and played in 2025.

Recognised for her smart reading of the game, defensive prowess, and positional discipline, Ayinde arrives at Häcken ready to play a pivotal role as they seek to defend their league title and compete in European competitions. Her presence adds experience, composure, and leadership, drawn from both international and European football, to the team’s midfield.

She will look to build on her Damallsvenskan reputation while helping one of Sweden’s top clubs achieve further success.
