FIBA Afrobasket 2021: D’Tigers release 12-man roster for qualifiers

D’Tigers head coach, Mike Brown has released the final 12-man roster for the FIBA Afrobasket 2021 qualifiers which begins today at the Kigali Arena, Rwanda.

The players and coaching staff all arrived Kigali ahead of the games between Sunday and Monday, as the 2015 Afrobasket Champions had their first training session for the qualifiers on Tuesday.

Captain Ike Diogu who led the team to Olympic qualification at the World Cup in China last year, leads the team again while Ben Uzoh, Ike Iroegbu and Obi Emegano all retain their place in the team.

Full 12-man roster for FIBA Afrobasket 2021 Qualifiers:

9 – Chima Moneke

D’Tigers will begin their qualification campaign on Thursday against South Sudan before taking on hosts, Rwanda on Saturday evening and round-off with Mail on Sunday afternoon.

With the new NBA season set to tip-off in about a month the likes of Jordan Nwora, Al-Farouq Aminu, Chimeze Metu, Josh Okogie, Nnamdi Vincent etc will not be participating in the qualifiers as they prepare for the upcoming NBA season with their respective teams.
