FIBA ABL: Angola to host Final Four in May

Vice Chairman Angolan Basketball Federation, Benjamin Romano has confirmed that Luanda, Angola will host the Final Four of the FIBA Africa Basketball League next month.

Romano made this announcement in an interview with Agencia Angola Press a news agency based in Luanda, Angola this week.

8-time champions Primeiro de Agosto of Angola, defending champions Association Sportive Sale of Morocco, Tunisia’s JS Kairouan and Smouha of Egypt are the four teams through to the Final Four of the competition.

The Final Four was earlier scheduled to take place between May 3rd and 5th while the semis will played on the 3rd, the final game will be played two days later in the same venue. But there are reports it might be moved to third week in May.

The Angolan team led by Paulo Macedo who last won Africa’s topflight club competition in 2013 are hoping to reclaim the title on home court.
