Turkish giants, Fenerbahçe, have confirmed the signing of Nigeria U20 winger Sabastine Flourish Chioma ahead of the 2025/26 season, www.aclsports.com reports.
The 20-year-old makes the switch from archrivals Galatasaray, where she featured in the Turkcell Women’s Football Super League last season. She has signed a one-year contract with the Istanbul club.
Before arriving in Turkey, Sabastine spent the 2023/24 campaign in France with Stade de Reims. She previously starred for Bayelsa Queens in Nigeria, playing a pivotal role in their 2021/22 NWFL Premiership title triumph, WAFU-B Championship win, and third-place finish at the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League.
Having represented Nigeria at two FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cups in 2022 and 2024, the pacey winger arrives at Fenerbahçe with valuable international pedigree and attacking flair.
Her signing was formalised at the Ülker Stadium, Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex, with the club’s board member for women’s football, Mustafa Kemal Danabaş present.
In a statement, Fenerbahçe said:
“We say ‘Welcome to our club’ to our player and wish her many successes in our striped jersey.”
As the club gears up for the new season, Sabastine will be aiming not just to help Fenerbahçe chase domestic honours, but also to take another big step forward in her rising career, one already marked by promise, ambition, and resilience.
