NFF have confirmed the pairings for this year’s President Federation Cup Round of 64, with tricky fixtures for Rivers United and Rangers International, www.aclsports.com reports.

Rivers United, who are Rivers State champions, will come up against decent non-league side G12 Football Academy from Lagos State, while Rangers, who have the most cup titles, have a date with second division side Godswill Akpabio United Football Club.

The two clubs have been locked in a title fight in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) all season, and they could meet again in the round of 32 of the competition if they go past their respective oppositions.

In other selected fixtures from the round, defending champions Kwara United will begin their title defence against Sporting Supreme U19 side, while 2024 Champions Elkanemi Warriors and Krusaders FC will battle for a spot in the next round, and former winners Akwa United have a date with Wilbros FC.

Continental chasing Shooting Stars have been paired against Kebbi United in a relatively easy route that could see them not meet a top-flight club until the round of 16 stage.

BREAKING!

NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, has confirmed that the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba will host the grand finale of the 2026 President Federation Cup.

Meanwhile, the NFF is expected to confirm the venue of the matches before the games are decided on Wednesday, 20th May and Thursday, 21st May.
