Head coach Abdu Maikaba has invited 35 players to camp as Nigeria U20 football team begin preparations for this year’s WAFU B U20 tourney, www.aclsports.com reports.

Maikaba, who was recently named the head coach of the Flying Eagles, has picked his assistants for the task ahead. Ortega Deniran (first assistant), Abdullahi Biffo (second assistant), and Usman Mohammed (goalkeepers’ trainer) are to work with the former Wikki Tourists head coach to build a new Flying Eagles squad that will make Nigeria proud.

Impressive Sporting Lagos goalkeeper Clinton Lawani, as well as Seun Akanji, Alex Leme, and Victor Samuel, are some of the standout names in the list that is made up of a total of three goalkeepers, 10 defenders, 11 midfielders, and 11 forwards.

All invited players are expected to report to camp in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on Saturday, 16th May, with preparations beginning in earnest for the upcoming WAFU B U20 Boys Championship, which will take place in July.
