English side, Liverpool Football Club, have announced the signing of Brazilian midfielder, Fabinho. Fabinho has joined the Reds from French side, AS Monaco, for an undisclosed fee, two days after the club lost in the final of the 2017/2018 UEFA Champions League.

"This is something that I always wanted – this is a giant of a team. The infrastructures of the club look exceptional." 🙌

The Reds confirmed they had reached an agreement with their counterparts form Ligue 1, for the transfer of the 24-year-old.

“Liverpool Football Club can confirm a deal has been agreed for the transfer of Fabinho from AS Monaco,” the club said in a statement on their official website.

The ex-Real Madrid player is expected to seal his move to Anfield on July 1, provided he successfully completes his medical and agrees terms to a long term contract with Jurgen Klopp’s team.

Speaking on the move, Fabinho said; “I am really excited about this move. This is something that I always wanted.

“A football club of this size coming after my services, I didn’t have to think that much about coming over. I will try to grow and learn and improve myself, and to be part of the club’s history.”

Meanwhile,  Fabinho’s move to Liverpool has drawn reactions from everyone, especially their fans of their fiercest rivals, Manchester United, who had been seriously linked with the versatile player since last summer.

Here are some of the reactions as they expressed their displeasure on losing out on the player.

United were never serious about Fabinho,And it hurts me.We had d chance to get him last year after he himself talked about it. We fucked up

Fabinho wins 9.1 duels per 90 mins. To put that into context:

Fernandinho: 6
Nemanja Matic: 5.6
Emre Can: 5.6
Jordan Henderson: 3.6

Wow wow wow.

Keita + Fabinho in the same window for hardly €100M is quality business in every aspect.

It's one thing to like/want Fabinho ( nothing wrong with this). But why are you now tripping at Utd cos Liverpool signed him? Did Utd tell you your like is what they want?
