The 23-year-old, who chose to represent Nigeria ahead of Holland at international level, has been out of active football for almost a year after he ruptured his cruciate ligament in preseason with Benfica, who he joined ahead of the 2018/2019 season on a free transfer from Dutch side, ADO Den Haag.

The exciting full-back made his full international debut for the Super Eagles when he featured against Iceland in the 2018 FIFA World Cup hosted by Russia.
