With 12 days to the commencement of the 11th edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (AWCON), the Super Falcons camp has received a huge boost with the arrival of Asisat Oshoala and three other foreign based players.

The reigning female African player of the year was involved in a cup final with her club side in China over the weekend, hence the delayed arrival in camp. Unfortunately her team lost out but she returns to camp as a league champion for the second season in a row.

Also arriving camp on Monday morning was the captain of the team Onome Ebi; Super Falcons’ striker and highest goalscorer in the qualifiers, Desire Oparanozie and Francisca Ordega.

With this new development, it is expected that Coach Thomas Dennerby has the full compliment of the squad now and should make the decision on the final list anytime soon.
