Niger United defeated Benue Buffaloes by 29 to 20 goals to record their second win of the ongoing 2023 Ardova Handball Premier League in Benin, Edo State on Monday.
In their first match, the Minna based Handball Club beat Confluence Stars 28 to 23 goals in a North Central derby on Sunday.
Head Coach of Nigeria United HC, Yekini Adebayo told www.aclsports.com that his side is ready to dismantle the unbeaten run of Kano Pillars.
Adebayo revealed that with the latest signing of nine players, the team is capable of winning this year’s Ardova Handball Premier League.
He said, “The players are showing passion and zeal on the court; it is showing on the court. I was not comfortable with our victory yesterday because the boys could not score more goals but I am happy they corrected their mistakes against Benue Buffaloes.
“We face the defending champions, Kano Pillars tomorrow (Tuesday) and the match is going to be a do or die affair. I just finished watching the Kano Pillars match against Bendel Dynamos and they were lucky to win.
“When we meet on the court, Kano Pillars will not be lucky again as Niger United is ready to dismantle their unbeaten record”, he told www.aclsports.com
