The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Sunday announced that it has settled for Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba as venue for next month’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles are scheduled to face the Leone Stars in double-header fixtures in March with the game earlier touted to hold in Benin City and then Uyo in Southern Nigeria.

The Football Federation however confirmed on Sunday the exact date of the first meeting in Nigeria and the venue.

“We have finally settled for the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba for the qualifying match against Sierra Leone. The match will be played on Friday, 27th March 2020,” NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, said at the weekend.

The Super Eagles have previously played four games in Asaba; a 0-0 draw against Uganda, a 3-0 win over Seychelles, a 1-0 win over Egypt and a 0-0 draw against Zimbabwe.

Gernot Rohr’s Eagles have six points from their first two games and will face the Sierra Leoneans in Freetown four days later for the corresponding fixture of the Asaba game.
