Three-time champions, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will on April 12, 2019 know their group stage opponents at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), reports www.aclsports.com

Having failed to qualify for any of the last two AFCON tournaments, the Super Eagles overcame an opening match loss to South Africa before ensuring qualification with a 1-1 draw against the Bafana Bafana in November.

With one more round of qualifying matches to hold in March, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have now fixed Friday, April the 12th as date for the draws of the competition. The draws will hold at the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

Fourteen countries have so far qualified for the biennial tournament; a list which includes hosts and record winners Egypt, four times winners Ghana, three times winners Nigeria as well as debutants Madagascar and Mauritania. The final ten qualifiers will be determined on the weekend of March 23.

Host federation, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) last month confirmed that eight stadiums in five different cities will be used during the 24-nation tournament billed to start on June 15, 2019.
