Abubakar Atabo inspired Safety Shooters to beat Kano Pillars 20 to 19 goals at the ongoing 2020 Prudent Energy Handball League in Abuja.

Atabo was a source of irritation for Kano Pillars as he forced them to commit fouls in the 9 meters yard.

The Atabo brothers, Abubakar and Abdullahi (younger) mesmerised the defence of the defending champions with Michael Agbaje coming to the rescue of Kano Pillars on countless occasions.

Abubakar Atabo who was voted the Most Valuable Player (MVP) on match day two told www.aclsports.com that the only thought on his mind was to run down Pillars.

Atabo said Safety Shooters lost the trophy to Kano Pillars and will not repeat the same mistake again.

He said, “It is a thing of joy that Safety Shooters defeated Kano Pillars today because they are our major threat. From the blast of the whistle, the only thing on my mind was how to run down Kano Pillars and I thank God I achieved that.

“This time around, we will ensure the league does not slip from our hands”.
