Super Falcons forward, Rasheedat Ajibade has revealed her excitement after penning a two-year deal with Spanish Iberdrola side, Atletico Madrid Feminino.
The 21 year-old joins the Spanish outfit after a successful two-year spell at Norwegian side, Avaldsnes.
“It is a great privilege and opportunity to be here,” Ajibade said in her first interview at the club.
“I am excited to be a part of this team and I hope that together we achieve success. It is a great step in my career and a great challenge for me and I am ready to give it my all,” she added.
The Nigerian international began her career with Lagos-based FC Robo in the Nigerian Women’s Premier League.
She made her breakthrough appearance at the 2018 U20 Women’s World Cup and 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations which the Super Falcons won.
Since then, she’s been touted as one of the shining lights and future of the Nigeria women’s national team.
We wish Ajibade a successful spell in Spain.
