AWC 2018: Sierra Leone is hungry for medals says Sualley

The President of Sierra Leone Wrestling Federation, Prince Sualley has expressed optimism that his country can win medals at the African Championships in Nigeria.

Sualley told aclsports.com that he’s eagerly waiting for his county to grab medals in the tournament.

“Eagerly awaiting the games to commence in earnest. Team Sierra Leone could win a bronze medal and possibly one gold or silver medal”, Sualley disclosed to aclsports.com

Meanwhile, Abdullahi Salam, three times Africa bronze medalists says his country is not in Nigeria to make numbers at the ongoing African Wrestling Championships.

The athlete cum coach told aclsports.com that they are currently hunting any medal color.

Salam said, “Expect us to win  either gold or silver medals at the games. I have seen Champions, former Champions and contenders but we won’t leave Nigeria empty-handed”.

He called on the Sierra Leone Wrestling Federation to embark on training tours after the African Championships to expose the cadet, junior and Senior wrestlers.

“We need training tour to expose our athletes the junior, cadet and senior”, he concluded.
