Nigeria’s Super Eagles rounded off their preparations for January’s African Nations Championships with a comfortable 4-1 win over Capital City FC on Saturday evening.

The friendly, the third to be played by the team of locally based professionals since moving to Abuja penultimate Monday is the final piece of their buildup before traveling to Morocco this week. The team, coached by Salisu Yusuf scored two goals in each half with attackers Kingsley Eduwo, Gabriel Okechukwu and Sunday Faleye all on target.

The team had earlier defeated nationwide league side Oyah FC 2-0 twenty-four hours earlier with Rabiu Ali and Anthony Okpotu scoring for the team. Head coach Yusuf is expected to release his 23-man list for the Championships on Wednesday before the deadline set by Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The home-based Super Eagles are expected to leave their camp base in Abuja for Morocco on or before Friday, January 5 for the tournament.
