Team Nigeria fighter, Santos Aburime Akhilele said he’ll have to cross the hurdles of the Lagos Classics and Nigeria open in Abuja before targeting International tournaments.

Santos told aclsports.com that the national trials in Abuja come January 2018 is amongst his main priorities. “As much as I want to attend the All Africa Games, Commonwealth and Olympic Games, my main goal is to improve everyday and to be better than who I was yesterday”.

“I’m going to take each competition as it comes. Any competition right now is the most important for me. The Lagos Classics in November, Nigeria Open in December and the National team trials in January 2018, these are my immediate priorities” Santos said.

He promised to put his very best and hope positive results are achieved in all competitions. “As long as I keep giving my best, I’m optimistic I’ll get good results in these competitions”.

He pleaded to the Federal Government, the federation and private individuals to be supportive.  “I hope I have the finances and support from government, the federation and of course private individuals”.
