Nigeria’s 2014 Commonwealth Youth Gold Medallist, Isah Adamu on Monday narrowly lost 6 – 7 points to Canada’s King Siddhartha in the Round 16 of World Taekwondo (WT) G-2 ranked “President’s Cup” in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The US based fighter breezed through Dominica Republic’s Travis Brazil with point gap 28 – 7 in the Round of 32 and defeating USA’s Andrew Ruano 17 – 7in the Round of 64.

His world ranking is expected to improve when its is released by World Taekwondo end of October. The 20 year old fighter who trains with Peak Taekwondo in USA is currently ranked 44th in the world.

Three years ago (2015), Isah was not listed in the world ranking but with consistent attendance of championships, the Nigerian Taekwondo athlete became a nightmare. The 2014 Commonwealth Youth Gold Medallist won the President’s Cup last year
